Saudi Arabia is home to Islam and home to Islam's holy book is here in Medina! King Fahd Complex for printing the Holy Quran is the single largest Holy Quran printing press worldwide. It is located more than 10 km to the northeast of our hotel in Medina. It is with equal interest to both scholars and tourists, although it is not known. Here we give you an update on the complex.
Printing Complex is located outside in the trunk Tabuk Road, on the outskirts of the city, to the northeast of Hotel Dar Al Taqwa Medina.
Currently this institution is not open to visitors women.Vizitat are normally regulated individually and in advance. We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but on the other hand, it makes every visit a very personal experience, with the opportunity to ask questions of staff on hand! If you need assistance in taking action to visit, hotel staff may be able to help.
The first thing you notice is that this place is great! As part of the goal to create such large facility in the world, a large space was created- some 250,000 square meters - which is 25 acres, or enough to hold 35 international football pitches, as large as 60 areas American football, as well as printing machinery, it contains space houses shops and offices that go with the business of book production and distribution, but also, a library, medical clinic, restaurants and a mosque.
The foundation of the complex was laid in 1982 by the King Fahd and Finish in 1984.
Since then the complex has produced more than 128 million copies of the Holy Quran in Arabic: 55 different versions in 39 foreign language versions, not to mention numerous studies and writing histories of the Holy Quran as well as the audio and video recordings.
On a visit to the printing center, you will be together even though some stations to see how the collections of pages (called signatures or groups) come together to form a copy of the holy book. The complex is capable of outputting 10-30000000 noble Quran copies annually.
